Minister: Canada’s approach to Russian sanctions unchanged
DAVOS, Switzerland, Jan 18 (PRIME) -- Canada’s position on the Russian sanctions has not changed, but it expects to cooperate with Moscow in trade, recently appointed International Trade Minister Francois-Philippe Champagne told PRIME on Wednesday.
When asked about prospects of anti-Russia sanctions repeal by Canada after U.S. President-elect Donald Trump takes the post, the official said that Canada sticks to its current position but is ready for dialogue with Russia “to understand how the countries can move forward in this issue.”
